An Act relating to the practice of pharmacy; allowing 
licensed pharmacist to prescribe nonprescription 
drugs subject to certain conditions ; authorizing 
promulgation of rules; providing for codification; 
and providing an effective date. 
 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 353.1c of Title 59, unless there 
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: 
A pharmacist licensed by the State Board of Pharmacy may 
prescribe nonprescription drugs in accordance with state and federal 
laws and rules that are to be used for compounding of 
nonprescription ingredients.  The prescription shall only be valid 
at the pharmacy where such pharmacist is employed or under contract.  
The Board may promulgate rules to implement this section. 
SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective November 1, 2022.
