33	61		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

35	62		SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
36	63		in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 24-100.10 of Title 70, unless
37	64		there is created a duplication in numb ering, reads as follows:

39	65		A. Beginning July 1, 2023, school districts and charter schools
40	66		that serve any students in grades seven through twelve and issue
41	67		student identification cards shall have printed on either side of
42	68		the student identification cards the telephone number described in

49	99		1. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline , which can be
50	100		accessed by calling or texting 988 ; and

52	101		2. The Crisis Text Line, which can be acc essed by texting HOME
53	102		to 741741.

55	103		B. It is the intent of the Legislature that beginning July 1,
56	104		2023, institutions within The Oklahoma State System of Higher
57	105		Education and private institutions of higher education in the state
58	106		that issue student identification cards may print on either side of
59	107		the student identification cards the telephone number s described in
60	108		paragraphs 1, 2, and 3 of this subsection:

72	116		C. If a school district or charter school subject to the
73	117		provisions of subsection A of this section or an institution of
74	118		higher education subject to the provisions of subsection B of this
75	119		section has a supply of unissued student identification cards that

77	148		applicable, as of July 1, 2023, the school or institution of higher
78	149		education may issue the non-compliant student identification cards
79	150		until the supply is depleted.

81	151		D. Subsections A and B of this section shall apply to a student
82	152		identification card issued for the first time to a student and to a
83	153		student identification card issued to replace a damaged or lost
84	154		student identification card.

86	155		SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 202 2.
