3571 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 29 O.S. 2021, Section 5-213, is

3899 Section 5-213. A. The use of crossbows and conventional
39100 longbows with a device that permits the bow to be held mechanically
40101 at full or partial draw, shall be a legal hunting method during any
41102 open season when convent ional longbows are a legal means of take.

43103 B. The use of air bows shall be a legal hunting method during
44104 any open season when rifles are a legal means of take. No person
45105 may hunt or take during the open season with an air bow unless the
46106 person has first obtained a stamp issued by the Oklahoma Wildlife

49107 Conservation Commission for a one -time fee of Twenty Dollars

52109 C. At such time as the Federal Aid in Wildlife Restoration Act
53110 is amended to expand the excise tax on sporting arms and ammunition
54111 to include air bows and air guns, the stamp pursuant to s ubsection B
55112 of this section shall no longer be required, and author ization for
56113 the continual use of air bows as a legal means of take shall be
57114 established by rules promulgated by the Commission.

59115 SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary fo r the preservation
60116 of the public peace, health or safety, an emerge ncy is hereby

222+means of take. No person may hunt or take during the open season
223+with a single-shot air bow unless the person has first obta ined a
224+stamp issued by the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission for a
225+one-time fee of Twenty Dollars ($20.00).
