101-BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
102-SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
103-in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 427.3a of Title 63, unless there
104-is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
105-A. Beginning January 1, 2024, the Oklahoma Medical Marijuan a

10699 Authority within the State Department of Health shall contract with
107100 one or more third-party vendors to provide the licensing services
108101 necessary to carry out the provisions of Section 420 et seq. of
109102 Title 63 of the Oklahoma Statutes and the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana
110103 and Patient Protection Act relating to the licensing of medical
111104 marijuana research licensees, medical marijuana education facility
112-licensees, medical marijuana business licensees , and employees of
105+licensees, medical marijuana business licensees and employees of
113106 such entities.
114107 B. The Authority shall determine the minimum services to be
115108 provided by such third -party vendor and shall establish costs and
116109 prices. A third-party vendor shall on behalf of the Authority
117110 conduct the statutorily required background checks and verify
118111 eligibility and suitability for any license applicant for a medical
119112 marijuana research license, medical marijuana education facility
120113 license, any category of medical marijuana business license, and
121114 employees of such entities.
122115 C. Upon successful completion by the third -party vendor of the
123116 statutorily required background checks and verification of
124117 eligibility and suitability for a license applicant or employee, the
118+third-party vendor shall issue a credential or badge to the
119+applicant or employee. The results of background checks and
120+verification shall be provided to the Authority by the third -party
121+vendor.

151-third-party vendor shall issue a credential or badge to the

155-D. In the event that the third -party vendor determines that an

159-determination to the Authority.
160-E. The third-party vendor shall bear no liability for any acts
161-taken in good-faith compliance with the provisions of Section 420 et
162-seq. of Title 63 of the Oklahoma Statutes and the Oklahoma Medical
163-Marijuana and Patient Protection Act and the rules promulgated by
164-the State Commissioner of Health.
