3261 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

3462 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 26 O.S. 2011, Section 7-102.1, is
3563 amended to read as follows:

3764 Section 7-102.1. A. Prior to the day of the election, it shall
3865 be the duty of the secretary of the county election board to prepare
3966 for each precinct where an election is to be held in the county, a
4067 written or electronic precinct registry which shall contain
4168 information on all registered voters in the precinct as prescribed

4397 is or would be contained in such a registry shall at all times be
4498 public information.

4899 B. The Secretary of the State Election Board may authorize the
49100 use of electronic precinct registries by one or more county election
50101 boards. Subject to available funding, the Secretary may purchase
51102 any equipment and software necessary t o implement an electronic
52103 precinct registry system. The Secretary shall promulgate rules as
53104 necessary to implement, operate and maintain security for a system
54105 of electronic precinct registries.

56106 SECTION 2. AMENDATORY 26 O.S. 2011, Section 7-117, is
57107 amended to read as follows:

59108 Section 7-117. A. Persons who have been determined to be
60109 eligible to vote shall sign, in the presence of the clerk, the
61110 proper precinct registry. Said The clerk shall thereupon then issue
62111 proper ballots to said the person. The voter’s signature on said
63112 the precinct registry shall be the best evidence of said the voter’s
64113 having voted at said election. Said precinct registry

67115 registries, shall be retained in the office of by the county
