3359 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

3560 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
3661 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 3 -328 of Title 43A, unless there
3762 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

3963 A. Subject to the availability of funds, the Department of
4064 Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services is hereby directed to
4165 contract with public and private entities located in the State of
4266 Oklahoma for the purpose of providing peer support crisis
4367 intervention, counseling and wellness for the law enforcement,

5098 B. Qualified crisis intervention training entities shall
5199 provide peer support teams trained in crisis intervention and
52100 wellness strategies.

54101 C. Qualified crisis intervention training entiti es, as provided
55102 for in this section, shall be required to be derived from the
56103 International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) and shall
57104 employ the Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) crisis
58105 intervention process. All instructors that teach the Critical
59106 Incident Stress Management process shall be ICISF approved
60107 instructors.

62108 D. Wellness strategies, required pursuant to this section,
63109 shall include, but not be limited to, resilience trainings related
64110 to resiliency for the job, emotional surviv al, substance abuse
65111 prevention, suicide prevention, financial and relationship
66112 strategies. Wellness training shall be taught using subject matter
67113 experts’ curriculum.

69114 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
