60-BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
61-SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new sec tion of law to be codified
62-in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 840 -2.20D of Title 74, unless
63-there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
64-A. Any full-time employee of this state who has bee n employed
65-for at least two years prior to the r equest shall be granted a paid
66-maternity leave for six (6) weeks for the birth or adoption of the
67-employee’s child.

95-provisions of this section shall receive the employee’s annual
96-salary without interr uption during the maternity leave. For
97-purposes of determining seniority, pay or pay advancement, and
98-performance awards, and for the receipt of any benefit t hat may be
99-affected by maternity leave, the service of the employee shall be
100-considered uninterru pted by the maternity leave.
101-C. Nonappropriated state agenc ies may offer more than six (6)
102-weeks of maternity leave to qualified state em ployees.
