3763 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
3864 AND THE SENATE OF THE 1ST SESSION OF THE 59TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE:

4065 Section 1. The Oklahoma Legisla ture of Oklahoma hereby makes an
4166 application to Congress, as provided b y Article V of the
4267 Constitution of the United S tates of America, to call a convention
4368 limited to proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United
4469 States of America to set a limi t on the number of terms that a
45-person may be elected as a Member of th e United States House of ENR. H. J. R. NO. 1032 Page 2

49100 Section 2. The Secretary of Sta te is hereby directed to
50101 transmit copies of this application to the Pre sident and Secretary
51102 of the Senate of the Unite d States and to the Speaker, Clerk and
52103 Judiciary Committee Chairman of the House of Representatives of the
53104 Congress of the United States, and copies to the members of the said
54105 Senate and House of Representativ es from this State; also to
55106 transmit copies hereof to the presiding officers of each of the
56107 legislative houses in the several States, requesting their
57108 cooperation.

59109 Section 3. This application shall be considered as covering the
60110 same subject matter as the applications from other States to
61111 Congress to call a convention to set a limit on the number of terms
62112 that a person may be elected to the House of Repre sentatives of the
63113 Congress of the United States and the Senate of the Uni ted States;
64114 and this application shall be aggregated with same for the purpose
65115 of attaining the two-thirds of states necessary to require Congress
66116 to call a limited convention on this subject, but shall not be
67117 aggregated with any other applications on any other subject.

69118 Section 4. This application constitutes a continuing
70119 application in accordance with Article V of the Constitution of the
71120 United States of America until the legislatur es of at least two-
