37	63		NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
38	64		AND THE SENATE OF THE 1ST SESSION OF THE 59TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE:

40	65		Section 1. The Oklahoma Legisla ture of Oklahoma hereby makes an
41	66		application to Congress, as provided b y Article V of the
42	67		Constitution of the United S tates of America, to call a convention
43	68		limited to proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United
44	69		States of America to set a limi t on the number of terms that a
45		-	person may be elected as a Member of th e United States House of ENR. H. J. R. NO. 1032 Page 2

46	98		Representatives and to set a limit on the number of terms that a
47	99		person may be elected as a Member of the United States Senate.

49	100		Section 2. The Secretary of Sta te is hereby directed to
50	101		transmit copies of this application to the Pre sident and Secretary
51	102		of the Senate of the Unite d States and to the Speaker, Clerk and
52	103		Judiciary Committee Chairman of the House of Representatives of the
53	104		Congress of the United States, and copies to the members of the said
54	105		Senate and House of Representativ es from this State; also to
55	106		transmit copies hereof to the presiding officers of each of the
56	107		legislative houses in the several States, requesting their
57	108		cooperation.

59	109		Section 3. This application shall be considered as covering the
60	110		same subject matter as the applications from other States to
61	111		Congress to call a convention to set a limit on the number of terms
62	112		that a person may be elected to the House of Repre sentatives of the
63	113		Congress of the United States and the Senate of the Uni ted States;
64	114		and this application shall be aggregated with same for the purpose
65	115		of attaining the two-thirds of states necessary to require Congress
66	116		to call a limited convention on this subject, but shall not be
67	117		aggregated with any other applications on any other subject.

69	118		Section 4. This application constitutes a continuing
70	119		application in accordance with Article V of the Constitution of the
71	120		United States of America until the legislatur es of at least two-
