1949 eliminating termination dates of committees; updating
2050 statutory language; providing an effective date; and

2755 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

2956 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2021, Section 2305, is
3057 amended to read as follows:

3258 Section 2305. A. There is hereby re-created, to continue until
3359 July 1, 2024, in accordance with the provisions of the Oklahoma
3460 Sunset Law, established an Advisory Committee on Pedorthics, which
3561 shall consist of five (5) voting members to be appointed by the
3662 State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision to three -year terms
3763 ending December 31; provided, initial appointments shall be
3864 staggered such that two members are appointed for one (1) year, two

3992 members are appointed for two (2) years, and one member is appointed

4294 B. One member shall be a licensed phy sician who is a member of
4395 the State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision. One member
4496 shall be a physician licensed to practice podiatric medicine by the
4597 Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners. One member shall be a member
4698 of the public who is a consu mer of pedorthic services. Two members

4999 shall be pedorthists certified by the American Board for
50100 Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics or
51101 pedorthists licensed by the State Board of Medical Licensure and
52102 Supervision.

54103 C. Members shall serve until their successors are appointed and
55104 qualified; provided, no member shall serve more than eight (8)
56105 consecutive years or two full terms, whichever is greater.

58106 D. The Committee shall annually elect a chair and vice-chair
59107 vice chair from among the members. The chair or vice-chair vice
60108 chair and two other members shall constitute a quorum. Members
61109 shall be reimbursed from funds available to the State Board of
62110 Medical Licensure and Supervision pursuant to the State Travel
63111 Reimbursement Act.

111199 services. Two members shall be licensed ort hotists, not more than
112200 one of whom may also be a licensed prosthetist. Two members shall
113201 be licensed prosthetists, not more than one of whom may also be a
114202 licensed orthotist; provided, licensure under the Orthotics and
115203 Prosthetics Practice Act not being p ossible until the act is
116204 implemented, two of the initial appointees to positions requiring
117205 licensure as an orthotist or prosthetist shall, in lieu of
118206 licensure, be certified by the American Board for Certification in
119207 Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics a nd two shall be certified in
120208 orthotics or prosthetics by the Board for Orthotist/Prosthetist
121209 Certification of Certification/Accreditation .
