An Act relating to retail electric suppliers; 
prohibiting certain incentivization by suppliers to 
customers; providing for codification; providing an 
effective date; and declaring an emergency. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
AMENDMENT NO. 1.  Strike the title, enacting clause , and entire bill 
and insert: 
 
 
 
 
"An Act relating to retail electric suppliers; 
prohibiting certain incentivization by suppliers to 
customers; providing for codification; providing an 
effective date; and declaring an emergency. 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes a s Section 801.10 of Title 17, unless there 
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

No rate-regulated retail electric supplier, as defined in 
Section 158.22 of Title 17 of the Oklahoma Statutes, shall offer 
ratepayer-funded incentives, reba tes, or inducements to its 
customers to promote the switching of fuel sources from natural gas 
to electricity. 
SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective July 1, 2025. 
SECTION 3.  It being immediately necessary for the pres ervation 
of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby 
declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and 
be in full force from and after its passage and approval. "

No retail electric supplier, as defined in Section 158.22 of 
Title 17 of the Oklahoma Statutes, shall offer ratepayer -funded 
incentives, rebates, or inducements to its customers to promote the 
switching of fuel sources from natural gas to electrici ty. 
SECTION 5.  This act shall become effective July 1, 2025. 
SECTION 6.  It being immediately necessary for the preservation 
of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby 
declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and 
be in full force from and after its pas sage and approval.
