16	46		Commission for Educational Quality and Accountability
17	47		to establish student teaching requirements; defining
18	48		term; providing for promulgation of rules; providing

27	55		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

29	56		SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to b e codified
30	57		in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 6 -187E of Title 70, unless there
31	58		is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

33	59		A. The Commission for Educational Quality and Accountability
34	60		shall establish student teaching requirements for teacher candidates
35	61		who are enrolled in an educator preparation program accredited by
36	62		the Commission. The requirements shall include:

38	63		1. Completion of a mini mum number of weeks of field experience;

41	92		2. Completion of a qualified job -embedded, competency -based
42	93		teacher registered apprenticeship program . For the purposes of this
43	94		section, “teacher registered apprenticeship program ” means a
44	95		structured program th at combines on-the-job training with academic
45	96		instruction to prepare individuals to become teachers .

49	97		B. The Commission shall promulgate rules to implement the
50	98		provisions of this act.

52	99		SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2025 .

54	100		SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
55	101		of the public peace, he alth, or safety, an emergency is hereby
56	102		declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
57	103		be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
