No. 1171 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to recognize the members of the Leadership Fort Worth Class of 2009 who are traveling to Austin on April 16 to visit the State Capitol and to learn more about state government; and WHEREAS, Over the course of the 10-month program, these public-spirited citizens are offered many opportunities to gain valuable insight into significant public issues and to visit with leaders who make crucial decisions on policies that affect their community; and WHEREAS, The members of Leadership Fort Worth are committed to building a more involved citizenry, and through their participation in this notable endeavor, they are helping to create a brighter future for the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby commend the members of the Leadership Fort Worth Class of 2009 for their civic engagement and volunteerism and extend to them sincere best wishes for a memorable and enjoyable visit to Austin; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
