H.R. No. 2424
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A 70th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love
and shared experiences, and Brian and Mozelle Cunningham celebrated
this joyous milestone in their marriage on July 10, 2007; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham were joined in matrimony in
Hillsboro in 1937; they count among their blessings a treasured
family that includes their twin sons, Velton and Vernon, and their
daughters-in-law, Darlene and Barbara, as well as 6 grandchildren,
14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren with whom
they share the many special occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. and Mrs.
Cunningham are active members at Bellmead Calvary Baptist Church,
where he served as deacon and she taught Sunday school and sang in
the choir; Mr. Cunningham is retired from Cameron Mills, and Mrs.
Cunningham is a homemaker; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham have shared seven decades of
abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
commitment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Brian and Mozelle Cunningham on
their 70th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham as an expression of high
regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
