The bill would amend Section 1305.002 of the Occupations Code to define apprenticeship training program. The bill would authorize the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) to adopt rules regarding the registration of apprenticeship training programs and to require registered programs to report the names of persons enrolled in the programs. TDLR anticipates any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
