99 AN ACT
1010 relating to disclosure of the individual vote of each member of the
1111 Supreme Court of Texas on a petition for review.
1212 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1313 SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 22, Government Code, is
1414 amended by adding Section 22.0071 to read as follows:
1515 Sec. 22.0071. DISCLOSURE OF INDIVIDUAL VOTES OF MEMBERS.
1616 In an order granting, refusing, dismissing, or denying a petition
1717 for review, the supreme court shall state how each member voted on
1818 the petition or application.
1919 SECTION 2. Section 22.0071, Government Code, as added by
2020 this Act, applies only to an order of the Supreme Court of Texas on a
2121 petition for review issued on or after the effective date of this
2222 Act.
2323 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
