The bill would amend the Transportation Code to define provider as a public transportation provider that provides public transportation for people with disabilities, and services as public transportation services provided by a public transportation provider designed for people with disabilities. A provider would be required to determine if a person who seeks to use a providers services while visiting the providers service area is eligible within two business days after an individual provides the appropriate notice and required documentation. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
