1010 relating to daylight saving time.
1111 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1212 SECTION 1. Section 312.016, Government Code, is amended by
1313 adding Subsection (d) to read as follows:
1414 (d) The state, acting under the exemption provisions of the
1515 Uniform Time Act of 1966 (15 U.S.C. Section 260a(a)), is exempt from
1616 the provisions of that law that establish daylight saving time. The
1717 exemption provided by this subsection applies to both the portion
1818 of the state using central standard time as the official standard
1919 time and the portion of the state using mountain standard time as
2020 the official standard time.
2121 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect November 1, 2015, to
2222 coincide with the end of daylight saving time for 2015.
