A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the sale of dogs or cats by a roadside vendor in certain
counties.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 285.001, Transportation Code, is amended
by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows:
(d) The commissioners court of a county with a population of
more than 425,000 and less than 500,000 by order may regulate the
sale of dogs or cats by a vendor that occurs in the unincorporated
area of the county and:
(1) on a public highway or road;
(2) in the right-of-way of a public highway or road; or
(3) in a parking lot.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
