                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 13, 2015      TO: Honorable Jimmie Don Aycock, Chair, House Committee on Public Education      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB771 by Deshotel (Relating to funding for the Texas Academy of Leadership in the Humanities.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would modify the Education Code to eliminate the tier one local share of the Texas Academy of Leadership in the Humanities for the purpose of calculating the academy's state aid under the Foundation School Program.Based on information provided by the Texas Education Agency, it is assumed that any additional cost incurred by the state in implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.The bill would apply beginning with the 2015-16 school year. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
