25 | 7 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

26 | 8 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 2054, Government Code, is |
---|
27 | 9 | | amended by adding Section 2054.134 to read as follows: |
---|
28 | 10 | | Sec. 2054.134. DEVICE AND INTERNET BROWSER COMPATIBILITY. |

29 | 11 | | (a) In this section, "wireless communication device" means a |
---|
30 | 12 | | device capable of using a commercial mobile service as defined by 47 |
---|
31 | 13 | | U.S.C. Section 332. |
---|
32 | 14 | | (b) The department shall identify the three most commonly |
---|
33 | 15 | | used Internet browsers and post a list containing those browsers in |
---|
34 | 16 | | a conspicuous location on the department's Internet website. The |
---|
35 | 17 | | department shall biennially review and, if necessary, update the |
---|
36 | 18 | | list required under this subsection. |
---|
37 | 19 | | (c) Each state agency that maintains a generally accessible |
---|
38 | 20 | | Internet website or for which a generally accessible Internet |
---|
39 | 21 | | website is maintained shall ensure that the website is compatible |
---|
40 | 22 | | with: |
---|
41 | 23 | | (1) a wireless communication device; and |
---|
42 | 24 | | (2) the most recent version of each Internet browser |
---|
43 | 25 | | listed by the department as required under Subsection (b). |

44 | 26 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
