 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The Bowie High School Choir is performing in the
 Rotunda of the State Capitol on May 26, 2015; and
 WHEREAS, These talented young men and women represent the
 dynamic choral department of James Bowie High School in Arlington;
 the program's various ensembles include two entry-level choirs, the
 Evocatus and the Concert Choir, which are open to all students, the
 Camerata, an auditioned choir open to young women in the ninth
 grade, and Chanson, an auditioned choir for advanced women singers
 in the ninth to 12th grades; and
 WHEREAS, The Bowie Chorale is the advanced-level choir for
 seasoned upperclassmen and women, while the department's pop music,
 a cappella ensemble, Volunteer Voices, has won best in class, best
 overall group, and best original song at the Texas A Cappella
 Convention; and
 WHEREAS, Under the able leadership of choir director Jermaine
 Lobaugh and associate director Karen Batsel, the gifted and
 hardworking members of the Bowie High School Choir have delighted
 and inspired countless listeners in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and
 their performance in the Capitol Rotunda promises to win them new
 admirers in Austin; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby recognize the Bowie High School Choir on the
 occasion of its performance at the State Capitol on May 26, 2015,
 and extend to the members and the directors of the choir sincere
 best wishes for the future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the choir as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
