                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 4, 2017      TO: Honorable Kelly Hancock, Chair, Senate Committee on Business & Commerce      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB635 by Howard (Relating to issuance of a vendor permit for the sale of goods during an authorized event held in the Texas mall area of the Capitol Complex.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code to require the State Preservation Board, in consultation with the Facilities Commission, to create a rule process for a vendor to apply for a permit to sell goods from a rented space in the future Texas mall area. This analysis assumes any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed by the State Preservation Board and the Facilities Commission within current resources.The bill would go in to effect September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
