117 relating to the designation of April as Parkinson's Disease
128 Awareness Month.
139 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1410 SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 662, Government Code, is
1511 amended by adding Section 662.114 to read as follows:
1612 Sec. 662.114. PARKINSON'S DISEASE AWARENESS MONTH. (a)
1713 April is Parkinson's Disease Awareness Month to increase awareness
1814 of Parkinson's disease and to encourage people to learn about the
1915 signs, symptoms, and treatment options for Parkinson's disease.
2016 (b) Parkinson's Disease Awareness Month may be regularly
2117 observed through appropriate programs and activities to increase
2218 awareness of Parkinson's disease.
2319 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
