The bill would amend the Healthy and Safety Code to require each animal control authority to submit to the Department of State Health Services an annual report regarding dog bites that occurred in the preceding year in the authority's jurisdiction and resulted in bodily injury, serious bodily injury, or death of a person. This analysis assumes there would be a minimal cost associated with implementing provisions of the bill that could be absorbed within current resources.
