| 7 | 7 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 8 | 8 | | SECTION 1. Sections 2001.103(c) and (e), Occupations Code, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | are amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | (c) An authorized organization that does not hold a regular |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | license to conduct bingo may [not] receive not more than 12 [six] |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | temporary licenses in a calendar year. |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | (e) An [Notwithstanding Subsection (c), an] authorized |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | organization that holds an annual license to conduct bingo may |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | receive not more than 24 temporary licenses during the 12-month |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | period following the issuance or renewal of the license. The |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | holder of a license that is effective for two years may receive not |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | more than 24 temporary licenses for each 12-month period that ends |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | on an anniversary of the date the license was issued or renewed. |

| 20 | 20 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
