R. 1640 AN ACT To prohibit the Secretary of Energy from finalizing, imple- menting, or enforcing the proposed rule titled ‘‘Energy Conservation Program: Energy Conservation Standards for Consumer Conventional Cooking Products’’, and for other purposes. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 2 •HR 1640 EH SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 1 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Save Our Gas Stoves 2 Act’’. 3 SEC. 2. STANDARDS FOR KITCHEN RANGES AND OVENS. 4 Section 325(h) of the Energy Policy and Conserva-5 tion Act (42 U.S.C. 6295(h)) is amended by adding at 6 the end the following: 7 ‘‘(3) The Secretary may not determine that imposi-8 tion of an energy conservation standard under this section 9 for kitchen ranges or ovens is economically justified for 10 purposes of subsection (o) unless— 11 ‘‘(A) the Secretary determines that imposition 12 of such energy conservation standard is not likely to 13 result in the unavailability in the United States of 14 a type (or class) of product based on what type of 15 fuel the product consumes; and 16 ‘‘(B) the Secretary discloses all stakeholder 17 meetings with entities that— 18 ‘‘(i) have ties to the People’s Republic of 19 China or the Chinese Communist Party; 20 ‘‘(ii) have produced studies regarding, or 21 advocated for, regulations or policy to limit, re-22 strict, or ban the use of any type of energy; and 23 ‘‘(iii) have applied for or received Federal 24 funds.’’. 25 3 •HR 1640 EH SEC. 3. PROHIBITION ON RULEMAKING. 1 The Secretary of Energy may not finalize, implement, 2 or enforce the proposed rule titled ‘‘Energy Conservation 3 Program: Energy Conservation Standards for Consumer 4 Conventional Cooking Products’’ (88 Fed.
