***AUTHORS SUBJECT TO CHANGE***
AN ACT to amend 281.58 (8) (a) 2.; and to create 281.58 (7) (b) 8. of the statutes;
relating to: funding for reduction of infiltration and inflow in connecting
laterals and sewer lines.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill provides that projects for the reduction of infiltration and inflow in
connecting laterals and sewer lines are eligible for funding under the Clean Water
Fund Program (CWFP) administered by the Department of Natural Resources.
Under current law, the CWFP provides financial assistance to municipalities
for projects to control water pollution. Certain types of projects are ineligible for
program funding, including projects involving connection laterals and sewer lines
that transport wastewater from structures to municipally owned or individually
owned wastewater systems.
For further information see the state and local fiscal estimate, which will be
printed as an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SECTION 1. 281.58 (7) (b) 8. of the statutes is created to read:
281.58 (7) (b) 8. Projects for the reduction of infiltration and inflow in
