Date of enactment: March 21, 2024 2023 Senate Bill 163 Date of publication*: March 22, 2024 2023 WISCONSIN ACT 152 AN ACT to amend 15.227 (15) (a) 7., 106.40 (4s) (c) and 106.40 (5) (intro.) of the statutes; relating to: membership of the Agricultural Education and Workforce Development Council in the Department of Workforce Development. The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows: SECTION 1. 15.227 (15) (a) 7. of the statutes is amended to read: 15.227 (15) (a) 7. The chancellor dean of the Univer- sity of Wisconsin−Extension Wisconsin−Madison divi- sion of extension or his or her designee. SECTION 2m. 106.40 (4s) (c) of the statutes is amended to read: 106.40 (4s) (c) Each of the individuals specified in s. 15.227 (15) (a) 8. and the chancellor dean of the Univer- sity of Wisconsin−Extension Wisconsin−Madison divi- sion of extension, jointly or individually, shall annually prepare a review of agricultural education programs in the University of Wisconsin System, with input from or review by the University of Wisconsin System adminis- tration. SECTION 3m. 106.40 (5) (intro.) of the statutes is amended to read: 106.40 (5) ANNUAL REPORT. (intro.) In September of each year, the council shall submit a report to the appro- priate standing committees of the legislature as deter- mined by the speaker of the assembly and the president of the senate, under s. 13.172 (3), the governor, the secre- tary of agriculture, trade and consumer protection, the state superintendent of public instruction, the secretary of workforce development, the secretary of natural resources, the chief executive officer of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, the president of the University of Wisconsin System, the director of the technical college system, the chancellor dean of the Uni- versity of Wisconsin−Extension Wisconsin−Madison division of extension, the chancellor of the University of Wisconsin−Madison, the chancellor of the University of Wisconsin−Platteville, the chancellor of the University of Wisconsin−River Falls, and the chancellor of the Uni- versity of Wisconsin−Stevens Point. The council shall include all of the following in the report: * Section 991.11, WISCONSIN STATUTES: Effective date of acts. “Every act and every portion of an act enacted by the legislature over the governor’s partial veto which does not expressly prescribe the time when it takes effect shall take effect on the day after its date of publication.”
