10-Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado:
11-SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 35-65-105, amend (1)
12-as follows:
13-35-65-105. State fair and industrial exposition. (1) (a) There is
14-hereby established the Colorado state fair and industrial exposition, which
15-shall be held annually at Pueblo, Colorado, for the display of livestock and
16-agricultural, horticultural, industrial, mining, water conservation, tourist
17-industry, recreational, educational, and scientific facilities, processes, and
18-products of the state of Colorado. A

59-(c) Hire and employ the manager of the Colorado state fair authority
60-in accordance with the provisions of section 35-65-403;
61-SECTION 3. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 35-65-403, amend (1)

63-35-65-403. Office of manager of the Colorado state fair
64-authority - creation. (1) The office of manager of the Colorado state fair
65-authority is hereby created. The board COMMISSIONER OF AGRICULTURE , IN
66-CONSULTATION WITH THE BOARD
67-, shall appoint AND EMPLOY a manager of
68-the Colorado state fair authority. who shall
69- THE PERSON APPOINTED AND

81-law to the contrary, the office of manager of the Colorado state fair

85-SECTION 4. Act subject to petition - effective date -
86-applicability. (1) This act takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on the day following
87-the expiration of the ninety-day period after final adjournment of the
88-general assembly; except that, if a referendum petition is filed pursuant to
89-section 1 (3) of article V of the state constitution against this act or an item,
90-section, or part of this act within such period, then the act, item, section, or
91-part will not take effect unless approved by the people at the general
92-election to be held in November 2022 and, in such case, will take effect on
93-the date of the official declaration of the vote thereon by the governor.
