919 AN ACT CONCERNING A CONVEYANCE OF A PARCEL OF STATE
1020 LAND IN THE CITY OF BRIDGEPORT.
1121 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
1222 Assembly convened:

14-Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) Notwithstanding any provision
15-of the general statutes, the Commissioner of Administrative Services, on
16-behalf of the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, shall convey to Island
17-Brook Joint Venture, LLC, a parcel of land located in the city of
18-Bridgeport, at a cost equal to the funds previously paid by Island Brook
19-Joint Venture, LLC, to the state of Connecticut since 2001, in accordance
20-with the provisions of a lease agreement between the state of
21-Connecticut, signed thereby on October 11, 2001, and Island Brook Joint
22-Venture, LLC, signed thereby on October 15, 2001. Said parcel of land
23-has an area of approximately 1.5278 acres and is identified as Parcels B,
24-C, D and E on a map entitled "PROPERTY/BOUNDARY SURVEY FOR
25-ISLAND BROOK JOINT VENTURE, LLC PROPERTY LOCATED ON
26-SYLVAN AVE., GLENWOOD RD., COLONIAL AVE. & CHOPSY HILL

36-Page 134 of the city of Bridgeport Land Records. Said parcel shall be
37-conveyed subject to easements for sanitary sewer, storm sewer and
38-utilities in favor of the city of Bridgeport.
39-(b) The conveyance of said parcel shall be subject to (1) the approval
40-of the State Properties Review Board, and (2) approvals by the
41-Department of Motor Vehicles, the Department of Administrative
42-Services, the Office of Policy and Management, the office of the Attorney
43-General and the State Properties and Review Board of a lease agreement,
44-executed on or after the effective date of this section, between and
45-mutually acceptable to the state of Connecticut and Island Brook Joint
46-Venture, LLC, and which lease agreement shall concern (A) adequate
47-motor vehicle parking at said parcel to be conveyed, and (B) use and
48-occupancy of the real property located at 110 Colonial Avenue in
49-Bridgeport that is owned by Island Brook Joint Venture, LLC, and is
50-adjacent to said parcel to be conveyed.
51-(c) The State Properties Review Board shall complete its review of the
52-conveyance of said parcel of land not later than thirty days after it
53-receives a proposed agreement from the Department of Administrative
54-Services, on behalf of the Department of Motor Vehicles. The land shall
55-remain under the care and control of the Department of Motor Vehicles
56-until a conveyance is made in accordance with the provisions of this
57-section. The State Treasurer shall execute and deliver any deed or
58-instrument necessary for a conveyance under this section, which deed
59-or instrument shall include provisions to carry out the purposes of
60-subsection (b) of this section. The Commissioner of Motor Vehicles shall
61-have the sole responsibility for all other incidents of such conveyance.
