2121 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 8

2323 Section 1. Subsection (8) of section 768.21, Florida 10
2424 Statutes, is amended to read: 11
2525 768.21 Damages.—All potential beneficiaries of a recovery 12
2626 for wrongful death, including the decedent's estate, shall be 13
2727 identified in the complaint, and their relationships to the 14
2828 decedent shall be alleged. Damages may be awarded as follows: 15
2929 (8) The damages specified in s ubsection (3) shall not be 16
3030 recoverable by adult children and the damages specified in 17
3131 subsection (4) shall not be recoverable by parents of an adult 18
3232 child with respect to claims for medical negligence as defined 19
3333 by s. 766.106(1). 20
3434 Section 2. This act sh all take effect July 1, 2022. 21
