Subsection (8) of section 768.21, Florida 10 Statutes, is amended to read: 11 768.21 Damages.—All potential beneficiaries of a recovery 12 for wrongful death, including the decedent's estate, shall be 13 identified in the complaint, and their relationships to the 14 decedent shall be alleged. Damages may be awarded as follows: 15 (8) The damages specified in s ubsection (3) shall not be 16 recoverable by adult children and the damages specified in 17 subsection (4) shall not be recoverable by parents of an adult 18 child with respect to claims for medical negligence as defined 19 by s. 766.106(1). 20 Section 2. This act sh all take effect July 1, 2022. 21
