30174 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

32175 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
33176 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 93. 3 of Title 25, unless there
34177 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

36178 In memory of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the
37179 World Trade Center, Pentagon, and the plane crash victims of the
38-United Airlines Flight 93, the 9/11 Remembrance “Freedom Flag” that
39-commemorates this day in American history , shall be authorized to be
40-flown on flagpoles throughout the state in remembrance.

45211 Section 375. A. It shall be unlawful and constitute a
46212 misdemeanor for any person to place, hoist, raise or display any
47213 flag, standard, colors or ensign upon or over any publicly owned

50214 tax-supported property or premises except roads, streets, hi ghways,
51215 stadiums or arenas in the State of Oklahoma, except:

53216 1. The flag, standard, colors or ensign of the United States of
54217 America;

56218 2. The flag of any nation formerly having dominion over the
57219 land now comprising the State of Oklahoma or any portion of said
58220 land;

60221 3. The official flag of any of the fifty states of the United
61222 States;

63223 4. An Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building commemorative flag;

65224 5. The official flag of any municipality in this state;

67225 6. The Boy Scouts of America flag;

69226 7. The Girl Scouts United States of America flag;

71227 8. The American Red Cross flag;

73228 9. The American Ex-Prisoner of War flag;

75229 10. The POW/MIA flag; and

77-11. The 9/11 Remembrance “Freedom Flag”; and

82233 B. Any person convicted of a violation of this section shall be
