29154 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

31155 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
32156 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 501 of Title 53, unless there is
33157 created a duplication in numb ering, reads as follows:

35158 This act shall be known and may be cited as the “Oklahoma Civil
36159 Rights Trail Grant Program ”.

38160 SECTION 2. NEW LAW A new sectio n of law to be codif ied
39161 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 502 of Title 53, unless there is
40162 created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

43164 Society the Oklahoma Civil Rights Trail Gr ant Program to provide
44165 financial assistance for the preservation of the Oklahoma Civil

49193 B. The Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Historical Society
50194 shall develop procedures and promulgate rules to disburse grant
51195 funds.

53196 SECTION 3. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
54197 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 503 of Title 53, unless there is
55198 created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

57199 There is hereby created in the State Treasury a revolving fund
58200 for the Oklahoma Historical Society to be des ignated the “Oklahoma
59201 Civil Rights Trail Revolving Fund”. The fund shall be a continuing
60202 fund, not subject to fiscal year limitations, and shall consist of
61203 all monies deposited to the f und by law, as well as gifts,
62204 donations, and private, state, and federal f unds. All monies
63205 accruing to the credit of such fund are hereby a ppropriated and may
64206 be budgeted and expended by the Oklahoma Historical Society for the
65207 purpose of providing financial assistance for the preservation of
66208 the Oklahoma Civil Rights Trail . Expenditures from such fund shall
67209 be made upon warrants issued by th e State Treasurer against claims
68210 filed as prescribed by law with the Director of the Office of
69211 Management and Enterpris e Services for approval and payment.

71212 SECTION 4. This act shall become effective July 1, 2023.

73213 SECTION 5. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
74214 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
75215 declared to exist, by reason whereof thi s act shall take effect and
76216 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
